Davis Love Park

Located on Ocean Creek Blvd, Davis Love Park is named after Davis Love III, a pro golfer, and PGA champion. He has designed several golf courses, including the Ocean Creek golf course on Fripp Island.

Discover the History of the Park

The park as we know it today was constructed after the golf course and opened on Thanksgiving weekend in 2004. The construction was a joint effort between The Fripp Island Property Owners Association and The Women’s Club. It featured a shrimp boat,  basketball court and volleyball court, a large grassy area, a bench swing, playground equipment, and a pavilion.

New Ways to Play

Davis Love Park underwent a recent renovation that was completed in 2022. A memorial brick garden was added that allowed residents to purchase a brick in their name or in honor of someone else. It also saw the addition of a wooden hexagon sandcastle with rock climbing walls, ladders, and a tube slide preserved from the old equipment. The park also received a new swing set and monkey bars. All of the latest equipment was built by Just for Fun, who also designed and built the lighthouse and ship at the park.
