Boating & Fishing Excursions
Find the perfect adventure for your whole gang. Enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise or head out on a kayak safari. You can launch your kayak from a few places on Fripp. By Wardles’ Landing, with a good pair of watershoes, you can walk out next to the pier across the marsh and into Skull Creek. There is also a spot at the end of Tarpon Blvd. where you can enter the water.
There are many options available from several local companies. Build your own outing by choosing the ultimate destinations in and around Beaufort.
Henry Robinson Boardwalk
Take a relaxing stroll along the Henry Robinson Boardwalk in Port Royal, South Carolina. This scenic waterfront boardwalk is a peaceful spot to unwind, with benches and a pavilion that invite you to linger while you fish, search for shark’s teeth, or simply take in the views. Climb the lookout tower for sweeping panoramic scenes of Battery Creek, the Beaufort River, Parris Island, and the nearby Marine Corps Recruit Depot.
It’s also a favorite for photography, especially at golden hour when the Lowcountry light reflects across the water. You'll love this quiet, charming stop that captures the natural beauty and coastal character of the area.
Spanish Moss Trail
Spanish Moss Trail is one of the Lowcountry’s most scenic spots to stretch your legs, whether you’re in the mood for a relaxed walk, an easy bike ride, or a longer morning hike. Winding through marsh views, quiet neighborhoods, and stretches of moss-draped beauty, the paved trail offers a peaceful way to experience Beaufort at your own pace. It’s an easygoing favorite for spotting wildlife, catching a breeze off the water, and soaking in that classic coastal scenery that makes this area so special.
