The 2026 Fripp Island 4th of July Golf Cart Parade theme has been announced: "Happy Birthday America, Celebrating 250 Years!"

This year's theme offers endless opportunities for creativity and patriotic fun. Participants can take inspiration from America's rich history, from the founding era and the signing of the Declaration of Independence to iconic moments, symbols, and traditions that have shaped the nation over the past two and a half centuries. Think colonial costumes, historical figures, military tributes, classic Americana, famous landmarks, national parks, or even a journey through the decades highlighting American music, culture, and innovation.

Whether you go all out with a historically inspired masterpiece or simply deck your cart in red, white, and blue, this year's parade promises to be one of the most memorable yet. Start planning your decorations now—2026 is shaping up to be a star-spangled celebration unlike any other!

A classic example of summer island fun, the 4th of July Golf Cart Parade is a must for anyone on island for Independence Day.

Unless something changes, you can line up along  Ocean Creek, Bonito and Tarpon. The route begins on Ocean Creek, takes a right onto Bonito, followed by a left onto Tarpon. After passing the Beach Club, the parade ends on Rock Beauty.

Is your family eager to compete? Free to enter! Be sure to get registered and lined up by 8:30am if you would like your entry to be judged. Hint: you can pre-register by calling the Activity Center at 843-838-1516.
