Vrbo has announced an upcoming price increase that will apply to any owners who connect to Vrbo on our platform.
If you use FrippIslandStay to connect your property to VRBO, they have just notified us that the cost to connect is going up another $100 on January 15th. The fee will now be $699 and our connection fee still remains at $99 so total will be $798. You do have the option to switch to the 5% per booking plan and pay the $99 fee separately. The breakeven point is $14,000 in bookings from VRBO. Owners with 1 and 2 bedroom homes might consider changing. I think 3 bedroom and larger will still likely be better off with the annual plan.
FrippIslandStay continues to invest in advertising to attract families with children. Each year, we are seeing our performance increase versus VRBO. Most owners receive the majority of their bookings now direct on our platform.
