Located on St. Helena Island, just a short drive from Fripp, you will find a 62-acre, working equestrian center offering trail rides, as well as boarding, training, lessons and more. Enjoy seeing the beautiful nature of St. Helena as you trot down roads and paths past beautiful old live oak trees and island palms.
The Plantation Trail Ride is available for all skill levels. If you need beginning lessons before the ride, Camelot offers that too. Reservations are required.

I think someone is okay with her “center of attention view” when you enter the farm 😅 she really likes to see who is coming SMS going up the driveway . Her name is Nala and she lives on the most beautiful farm in the South Carolina Low Country. She lives close enough to the beach that she can go for walks there regularly. She was saved a few years ago from the slaughter house and her owner thinks she’s around 25. I can be somewhat intimidated around horses and she was really gentle and sweet. I will think about her and I’ll miss her.

She was the only horse I photographed on the beach but I photographed lots of them at the farm. I’ll post more photos of them on my blog later this week. Until then, I need to leave this beautiful place and drive home.

My soul needs to live at the beach. I just watched an amazing sunrise over the marsh and I was wishing for a dog (or horse!!) on the beach and my camera in my hand. Maybe next trip….. 🙂
