Giant 13.5ft hammerhead this morning, over 1,000lbs. Would’ve beaten our state record by 400 pounds if we dragged her in, but just can’t do it. The width of this shark was crazy, we just couldn’t get any clips of her sideways.
We saw this same fish yesterday chasing our bait around, but she wouldn’t take it. Todays customer was legendary shark angler Pete Quartuccio, who used to fish with Frank Mundus 40 years ago. It was too rough to get out far, so we set up camp this morning right where we were yesterday with the Kwaak family, with hopes of seeing yesterdays hammer again. The first bite was a blacktip, the second bite was a lemon, and then this big lady was our 3rd take.
The last 2 videos were from yesterday, when she was chasing our bait around. Again, she was tagged and released healthy so save the hate mail. Hope to see her again!
