Vrbo has announced upcoming changes to their policies that will apply to any owners who connect to Vrbo on our platform. As a Vrbo partner, we will have to adhere to these changes. We’re providing highlights below as well as a link to the full Vrbo cancellation fee policy for your review.
To meet travelers’ expectations and help you deliver more value, we’ll be modifying how we manage partner-initiated cancellations and elevating our Premier Host eligibility.
Partner cancellation penalty:
Effective date: October 14, 2023 (U.S. only)
This new fee policy for partner-initiated cancellations will focus on avoidable and controllable situations.
- Cancellation fees start at $50 USD
- Booking value and timing of cancellation will determine the fee amount
- Cancellations may lead to temporary listing suspension

Take note, the new cancellation fee is variable based on the booking value and timing of cancellation. If you manage your own bookings, you will be responsible for these fees.
