Fripp Island Resort offers a Racquet Club complex with year-round play on eight soft Fast-Dry clay courts and six permanent pickleball courts.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day the Racquet Club hosts social mixers, stroke-of-the-day clinics, daily drills, and other instructional options. Club cards are required.

Tennis 🎾 is a mandatory activity while we are on Fripp Island. The staff at the tennis courts were super generous, kind, and patient with our often just-rolled-out-of-bed, mishitting, ugly volleying, stretched out, wrong footed, and not paying attention crew. After weeks of clinics and lessons we were FINALLY shaking off the rust and pulling ourselves together! Pickleball was created by three dads in Seattle, Washington, and got its unique name from their dog Pickles. Pickleball is a hodgepodge of several different sports, combining elements of Tennis, Badminton, and Ping-Pong.
It is played with paddles and a modified wiffleball on a small tennis-like court in either singles or doubles. Having been created with the family in mind, Pickleball was specifically designed to be played by people of all ages.
Fripp Island Resort Racquet Club offers 6 permanent pickleball courts for play along with lessons, clinics and round robins during the week.
