Art in the Arsenal
Join us at the Gullah Art Gallery on August 12th from 2pm to 430pm and learn all about Indigo! In this family-friendly workshop, we’ll learn about the history of indigo in the Lowcountry, and the critical role enslaved Africans played in making indigo, one of the most important parts of the local economy and culture. We’ll also look at how indigo is used in different ways (from paint to hair dye), and then we’ll make our own indigo-dyed projects to bring home!
This is a free workshop open to the community for ages 4-104! Make a reservation: (843)962-3937
