Manifesting more spring and early summer projects 🌷
May and June are some of my favorite months for flowers, here’s why:

✨ There are local fritillaria, tulips, daffodils, peonies, and ranunculus…all SUPER cute and popular wedding flowers.

✨ They grow in interesting shapes, both in stem and bloom.

✨ Spring blooms are unique, quirky, classy, and are for folks who want their unique style to be a part of their wedding or event.

I have had such a blast creating pieces for mayeshwholesale mayeshseattle Wicked Design Challenge! There are so many parts of the story that drove the inspiration for these designs:

✨ Besties - Glinda and Elphaba’s friendship is an unbreakable, limitless force to be reckoned with. I wanted each piece to feel strong, like the bonds that these two incredible women share.

✨ Defying Gravity - Flowers are often called “magical” making them the perfect medium for this creative prompt. This theme pushed me to think outside the more traditional guidelines of floristry. It was especially fun using wires to manipulate the shapes of the calla lilies, which brought a level of whimsy I wasn’t expecting.

✨ Be Yourself - No matter how many times Elphaba has to deal with people freaking out about her green skin, she still decides to be HERSELF. Social media can breed comparison and it can be hard not to compare yourself to others. Channel your inner Elphaba and create what YOU want. Your art deserves to be seen, your voice deserves to be heard! If this design challenge speaks to you, go for it! YOUR TURN! 💖💖💖
