Wardle's Landing
Wardle’s Landing
Tucked away at the very southern tip of Fripp Island, Wardle’s Landing offers a rustic launch point into Skull Inlet. It’s a favorite spot for locals looking to get into deeper water or explore the marshes toward Pritchards Island.
Best For: Confident paddlers looking to explore the deeper inlet waters or head toward Pritchards Island.

Cabana Club
Natural Beach Access Near the Cabana Club (Ocean Creek Area)
Just beside the Cabana Club, you’ll find a small stretch of natural beach that’s open for public access. This area faces Skull Inlet and is perfect for hand-launching a kayak or paddle board at high tide.
Tarpon Boulevard
Natural Beach Launch at the End of Tarpon Boulevard
At the very southern tip of Tarpon Boulevard, you’ll find a quiet stretch of natural beach. Though there’s no dock or formal ramp, this spot is easy to access on foot and works well at mid-to-high tide.
Scenery: Great views, wildlife sightings, and very little boat traffic.
Note: Avoid launching at low tide—this area becomes a mudflat quickly.
Parking: Limited roadside availability—be respectful of local residents.

Blue Gill Road
Natural Beach Launch at the park on Blue Gill Road
At the end of the road, you’ll find a small park with a quiet stretch of natural beach leading into the creek.
Crabbing Dock
Natural Marsh Launch at the Crabbing Dock in Fiddlers Ridge
At the end of the road, you’ll find a dock, open to all, with a quiet stretch of natural marsh leading into the creek.
Note: Water shoes are recommended. And be sure and check the tides.
Russ Point
Boat Ramp and Dock
Just over the bridge on Hunting Island, you'll find Russ Point Landing with a large dock and boat ramp. Check on Google for current hours but as of this writing it is open from 7:00AM - 7:30PM, 7 days a week.
Check Tides and WeatherÂ
Know Before You Go
Tides Matter: Fripp’s waterways are heavily influenced by tides. Launch at or near high tide for easiest access and return. Check tide charts before heading out.
Watch the Weather: Afternoon storms are common in the summer. Paddle in the morning for calmer winds and better conditions.
Wildlife Awareness: Keep an eye out for dolphins, shorebirds, and the occasional alligator in the marshy areas. Always maintain a respectful distance.
Safety First: Wear a life jacket, bring water, and let someone know your launch point and expected return time.
Respect Private Property: Only use designated public access points, and avoid launching from Club-owned docks, pools, or restricted areas.
