It's raining, now what do we do? Some of us get excited at the prospect of grabbing our favorite book and cuddling up on the covered porch for a few hours. But not so much with kids, right? No worries, there are plenty of fun things to do while you wait for the sun to come back out.
- An all-time favorite - have a Movie Marathon.
- Visit the Activity Center - Call for daily schedule of planned activities as well as animal meet and greets. (843) 838-1516
- Create your own indoor scavenger hunt.
- Check out activities on nearby islands and in Beaufort - Local Fun.
- Book an in-home paint party with Southern Palette.
- Take a walk along the waves, so long as it isn't storming.
- Make S’mores on the stovetop, microwave or grill.
- Treat the gang to a Shrimp Barbeque (pick up fresh from Gay's Seafood or Sea Eagle Market)
- Board games and puzzles are fun. (Pack a few in the car in case your rental doesn't have them.)
- Bake some cookies.
- Play Charades.
- Create a fort out of blankets.
- Dance in the rain.
- Paint Rocks to hide around the island.
- Find pinecones and turn them into peanut butter bird feeders.
